Shari Lewis
Shari Lewis is a writer, pastor’s wife, worship leader, women’s ministry director, Bible Teacher, and coffee lover from Atlanta, Georgia. Her passion is to share the love of Jesus with as many people possible and as often as possible.
Shari serves alongside her husband as he pastors a full-gospel, interdenominational church, Crossroads Community Church, in Thomaston, GA. She has been dubbed a “multi-tasking ninja,” because of the numerous roles she must fill as a pastor’s wife. However, she is really only part of an amazing team.
Shari accepted Christ as her Savior at the tender age of seven. By age fourteen, she accepted the call of God on her life to full time ministry. She enjoys singing, playing the piano, and leading worship as well as studying the Bible, leading Bible studies, and coordinating women’s ministry. Her degree is in music and elementary education from Lee University in Cleveland, Tennessee, where she also minored in Bible. She is a retired school teacher who has taught music, preschool, and 1st – 3rd grades, and she also home schooled her own children for seven years.
Under the direction of her father-in-law, Dr. George J. Lewis, who was also the Bishop of the church at the time, Shari trained for ministry and was licensed and ordained as a Minister of the Gospel with Holy Ground Ministries, an interdenominational, full-gospel organization. She also occasionally preaches at her church.
Shari and her husband, Pastor Jeff, have six grown children, of which five are married, four grandchildren, and three pups. Her youngest daughter has just left for the Navy, and Shari is now adjusting to a new empty nest. When not involved in ministry, she and her husband enjoy participating in community theater, singing, movies, traveling, reading, and just hanging out together and enjoying life!
