I am so excited to announce a new series for you beginning Monday, September 30th, and running throughout the month of October: “31 Days to Bless Your Home: Easy Tips for the Domestically Challenged.”
I cannot think of anything I love more than to create a warm, inviting, and relaxing environment for my family. However, I have always been intimidated by ideas on Pinterest and women’s magazines. I love to study the work of interior designers, but when it comes to trying it myself, I feel so overwhelmed. I admire women, like my beautiful younger sister, Mary, who have a natural knack for putting it all together and making a masterpiece out of anything they get their hands on.
Well, I am not one of those women! However, God has given me a heart to love and bless my family by loving and blessing our home. As women, we have such a unique opportunity to minister to our families and all who enter our homes. It is never drudgery when we view it as the gift from God that it is to be able to create a nurturing, comfortable, and pleasing atmosphere for the ones we love. However, for those of you who are like me, domestically challenged, we need some easy guidelines to follow.
I have learned many simple ideas that have worked for my family, and I hope that you will find something that works well for yours too! Just think of me as the older woman in Titus 2!
These older women must train the younger women to love their husbands and their children, to live wisely and be pure, to work in their homes, to do good, and to be submissive to their husbands. Then they will not bring shame on the word of God. Titus 2:4-5 NLT
We will have five weekly themes. Each week will also include videos, recipes, and special weekly challenges for you to try. It is going to be so much fun!
