Steadfast Love Summer Bible Study Begins Today

Oh give thanks to the Lord, for he is good,
for his steadfast love endures forever!
Let the redeemed of the Lord say so,
whom he has redeemed from trouble
and gathered in from the lands,
from the east and from the west,
from the north and from the south. Psalm 107:1-3 ESV

Today is the day! Welcome to Day 1 of our summer Bible study at Heart to Heart!

I can hardly wait to dive deeply into the book, Steadfast Love, by Lauren Chandler, as well as Psalm 107 with all of you this summer! My prayer is that each one of us will have a divine encounter with the Lord that will transform our hearts, strengthen our faith, refresh our worship, and deepen our relationship with Him.

Through the course of these next seven weeks, we will learn afresh that the love of God is sure and steady in every season of our lives. In every circumstance, we will discover that God is always good and worthy of praise.

We begin Week 1 with a Call to Worship. This is an invitation to celebrate the goodness of the Lord and to wholeheartedly extol His worth. There are times in our lives that words of praise and worship roll effortlessly off our tongues, and our hearts well up with gratitude and adoration toward God. However, we also experience cycles in our walk with Christ that we may not feel like praising Him, yet we will grow to understand more clearly that our feelings do not change the worth of God to receive our praise. We will come to realize that we can praise Him generously and genuinely regardless of our circumstances.

Some of the seasons we will discuss in this study are The Dessert, Chains, Folly, and Storms. In each week of study, we will explore Scripture that will encourage and strengthen our hearts, and we will be comforted by the beautiful sections of Psalm 107 that will connect with each of these seasons of our lives.

One of the most meaningful symbols of this study is the anchor. What an absolutely beautiful reminder that no matter what we are going through, we can anchor our souls in the steadfast love of the Father!

So, let’s get started!
